The day after Presidents’ day we will take the four Presidents of Mount Rushmore and match foods to their persona. We’ll start with Jefferson and his love of Champagne and vegetables and do a curried cous cous salad with pickled vegetables and a Virginia ham, Washington will be represented with sautéed foie gras and cherry sauce, Teddy Roosevelt with venison and green peppercorn sauce, and Lincoln with his beloved almond cake. Naturally American wines will be served.

This class meets on the main level in the Education Wing.

MATERIALS
Our cooking classes are held in our commercial kitchen. You will be seated at a counter on countertop stools, so please wear comfortable clothing. Layers are best, the temperature fluctuates often.
