Presented by Greg Williams.

John Billington traveled on the Mayflower voyage with his family. Although not a Puritan and thus considered a “stranger,” he was a signatory of the Mayflower Compact. Later however he went on to achieve lasting infamy as America’s first convicted murderer—after he shot and killed a fellow colonist in 1630.
