Tell It Like It Really Was: Writing the Personal Narrative

We all have a story to tell, whether it’s a memory from childhood, a trip to the tropics or just a swing through the supermarket. Learn some techniques to make your memoir, travel writing or personal essay more writerly, readable and even publishable. We will write, share pieces by ourselves and others that we love (or hate), experiment with style and technique, and maybe review some grammar. We’ll even brainstorm how to overcome writer’s block. Come ready to write and to have fun. All levels welcome, even if you’re only written that memoir in your head.
Bring pen and paper or your laptop and be prepared to do short exercises in class.
