Our emphasis in this course is to make art that develops, or refines, your unique visual language and the confidence that comes with that. This course is for people who want to dive into their practice during these winter months while experiencing a connection with other artists who seek an encouraging and challenging environment.
We begin with looking at works from PAAM’s collection and each other’s art as prompts for the day. The model begins with gesture drawings, then moves on to evolving exercises. Artists can create drawings, paintings, mixed media collage or sculpture with ongoing feedback from Laura and Alana. Our final class, February 15th, will be an all-class critique. Tuesday open life classes with real time guidance from Laura are included in the fee
