Women in the Maritime Industry (Now): The global maritime industry is advancing and innovating at a tremendous speed, with great focus on modernizing a sector that for so long has been behind the curve in many areas. Women represent only two per cent of the world’s 1.2 million maritime workforce and just 1 per cent of seafarers. Now, the ocean and the maritime industry have no boundaries for women.
