Written four hundred years after the famous “First Thanksgiving” event, and told from the point of view of the Native Americans, Professor Silverman’s lecture provides a fresh perspective on the history of the events that led from the initial alliance between the colonists at Plimoth and the Wampanoag tribe to its violent dissolution during King Philip’s War some 75 years later.
