Low tide on Cape Cod Bay; the water is too low for swimming, but perfect for exploration! Mass Audubon naturalists guide this 1.5 hour, family-friendly expedition to the mud flats of Barnstable Harbor. Search for the predatory moon snail and ancient looking horseshoe crab, hold a jelly-like lug worm egg case and learn how these and other amazing creatures survive the challenging environment of the intertidal zone. Participants should bring sun protection, water, and boots, water shoes, or sneakers they don’t mind getting wet and muddy. Children under 2 are free.
