The Yarmouth Minutemen, Barnstable County Militia, Brewster Artillery

The group depicts a militia of 1774 wearing clothing, drilling with Brown Bess muskets, and the firing of a 3-pound muzzle loading Cannon, fondly known as Alice. Members of the group will be readily available for interaction with the public answering questions about the 18th century Lifestyle on Cape Cod, as well as the political and social changes which precipitated the American Revolution, our first Civil War. Children will cheerfully be accepted as volunteers and will be instructed in the manual of arms and even learn how to play trap ball or write with a quill pen.
