This counted cross stitch sampler is inspired by the 19-century school girl samplers in the NHA collection. Several samplers in the collection have similar design elements, while the finished pieces vary. These design features were used to inspire this historic yet modern interpretation of the Nantucket Schoolgirl Sampler.
This workshop has a weekly informative session supplemented by an open stitching session where students continue working together and learning from each other. Open sessions are July 7, 14, & 21, 1 – 3pm.
Learn how to set up your piece for easy counting, learn new stitches and add a personal touch to your design.
All materials are provided to complete the project.
