If you think watercolor is something only neat and prissy people do, think again! Learn exciting and different ways to control your brushstrokes and water flow when working large and prepare to stretch yourself, in more ways than one. We will paint from life but not in a labored, detailed way.
This workshop will be especially great for those that find themselves in a rut with their
watercolor painting and for those who usually paint small, tight paintings and want to loosen up.
Bring your biggest brushes and 4-5 full sheets of watercolor paper (22 x 30” can be ordered online at Dick Blick or Cheap Joe’s at reasonable prices). You will also want smaller paper to try out different techniques. Bring your watercolors, palette, water container, paper towels or rags, and your sense of humor. And yes, you can sneak in the smaller brushes, too. If you like to tape your paper down, please bring your favorite painter’s or masking tape.
Class Fee: $90
