Join Us For Porch Fest on September 16th!
The Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum will be participating in the 8th Annual 2023 Sandwich Arts Alliance PorchFest! The event will feature live music from Sandwich Arts Alliance musicians to celebrate Cape Cod’s incredible local musical talent. Our main entrance will be transformed, inspired by the historic Sandwich icon Hannah Rebecca Burgess. When Hannah was only 22, her husband died suddenly of dysentery during a journey on their ship “The Challenger”. Hannah was able to safely navigate “The Challenger” back from the Pacific to the shores of Chile. The Sandwich Glass Museum Archives contain journals and pictures detailing Hannah’s extraordinary life. Join us on September 16th to pay homage to Hannah Rebecca Burgess and to enjoy wonderful live music!
