Museum Monday: Dr. Alan Granby-Wandering Whalemen and Their Art: A Collection of Scrimshaw Masterpieces

On Free Museum Monday – May 1, 2023, join us for a free talk at 11 a.m. by author and marine art historian Dr. Alan Granby on his book Wandering Whalemen and Their Art: A Collection of Scrimshaw Masterpieces. 

Wandering Whalemen and Their Art: A Collection of Scrimshaw Masterpieces is an extraordinary coffee table book for the nautically inclined.  This substantial volume has 661 illustrations, many of which are life sized.  Using a highly specialized spot UV printing method, the incredible photographs are displayed with a brilliance and sharpness rarely seen.
