Mountain Music Workshop

Join Musician Bruce Molsky as he gives a talk on the roots of mountain music, plays a few of the seminal recordings that influenced American country music throughout the 20th century and into the present, and of course plays a few illustrative tunes. Come for the conversation! In addition to his decades of touring and performing, Bruce Molsky is the Visiting Scholar in the American Roots Music Program at Berklee College of Music. He visits older musicians, studies classic recordings and performances by the old time and blues greats, and turns folks on to these beautiful cultural tapestries. These endeavors have always been some of the most important parts of what inspires and excites Bruce about the fiddle, banjo and guitar.
