Make Your Own Nuno Felted Scarf! with Annamarie Behring

What is nuno felting?  Nuno felting is a process of combining wool and a piece of fabric to create a scarf.  In this class, we will start with a rose or white silk scarf base (your choice). We will create our own designs by laying down merino wool, pre-felt (to cut shapes for the roses; a variety of colors will be available), tussah silk, and sari silk on top of the scarf base. Then we will add soap and water, felting the scarf using our hands and a variety of tools to adhere the wool and silk to the fabric base. The result is a custom made, soft and luxurious scarf that would be great for a gift for someone, or for you.

You will go home with one handmade scarf as well as printed instructions (with color photos) for creating one on your own.  Join us for this fun and creative workshop!
