Students will create a series of artworks – sculpture, painting, mixed media, collage – with like-minded others who are searching for their most authentic voice and striving for excellence. It is a fantastic way to start the year. Every artist will produce enough pieces (depending on the size and materials) that would make for a cohesive body of work. This process is two-fold: 1) to dive deep into an idea, approach, and concept: 2) to have a body of work for exhibit, catalogue, presentation or grant consideration.
