Join us as we explore the sanctuary in search of diamondback terrapins, a threatened species of turtle that lives in our salt marshes. We will start off inside with an introduction to this fascinating species then head outside for a walk along sanctuary trails in search of nesting turtles in June and July and in search of hatchlings in August and September. Learn about turtle biology, natural history, and conservation. Be prepared to walk up to 2 miles.

Instructions and Directions:
Pre-registration required. Wear comfortable shoes for walking that you don’t mind getting sandy or wet. Please arrive and check-in 10 minutes before the start of the program. Be prepared to walk up to 2 miles

Please note our cancellation policy: In order to receive a refund, you must notify us of your cancellation at least 7 days before the program begins. If we cancel the program, you will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to change programs, schedules, and instructors, and to cancel programs due to low enrollment or unfavorable weather.
