The Barnstable Historical Association will do their normal tricks to bring out the “spirits” in the old jail.  Built in 1690, it is the oldest wooden jail still standing in the United States.  Blacksmiths Jim Ellis and Mark Grenier will also be on hand to demonstrate their trade.

The entire campus at the Coast Guard Heritage Museum will be open including the Blacksmith Shop and the Old “Haunted” Jail.  This will be the final day of the 2021 season for the museum complex.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the museum in the evening when exhibit lighting makes the building’s interior magical.   Old-time horror films will be showing on a large screen TV in the museum’s changing exhibit gallery. (Very limited seating.)  A selfie station will be available to take shots of your crew in their scariest costumes.

Please wear COVID masks when inside the museum buildings.

Free – No reservations required
