Focus on Organizing & Protecting Your Photos

This course highlights strategies you can employ to avoid these problems and put your mind at ease. Whether you manage your photos using your computer’s file explorer or a digital asset management application like Adobe Lightroom, a well-structured photo library is key to your success. Q&A with the instructor will follow the presentation.

Please note, this course is about folder structure, file names, and backup practices. Any mentions of specific software applications will be to illustrate teaching points only. This class meets in the Photo Studio on the lower level of the Education Wing.  Admission: $35.00.

ED GROSSMAN
Ed Grossman’s passion for photography started in his youth. He still remembers being captivated watching Polaroids develop before his eyes. The way that film, chemicals, and time worked together to create a picture is something he’s never forgotten. Today, those memories of instant film inspire him to combine artistic elements into storytelling portfolios.

His projects include: Sunday Drive, a nostalgic look at how his world view broadened while in the backseat of the family station wagon; Beaches Offseason, where scenes typically associated with vacation fun instead represent life’s mundane or trying experiences. And Fading American Bookstore, documenting the impact of modern times on a cultural institution.
