In this course, students will learn how the effects of color: their shape, value, temperature, size, and intensity — all work to create a visual impact. This six-week class will explore vibratory color, how one color placed against another produces a vibration. We will explore the various contrasts: warm against cool, dark against light, and neutral against bright. Subject matter will alternate between the figure and still life. As students develop their own color sense, studies will be produced for future, larger works.

This class will take place in the Owl Hall on the main level of the Education Wing.
