Character Creator Animation Workshop

In this fun and exciting class with artist and animator Gabriella Melchiorri, students will turn a character they create into a short animated film! Each student will dream up a character and make a series of sketches along with a narrative backstory. They’ll turn their character into a moving-parts paper puppet which will become the star of a stop-motion animated mini-masterpiece! Students will work with a variety of materials to bring their characters to life, and the final product will be delivered in an electronic file to every student for them to keep and will be shared on the Center’s website and social media platforms.
Ages 8-14. All levels of artistic skill welcome!
