Building and Sailing Istar, The Agony and the Ecstasy: A Lecture by Stormy Mayo

Dr. Charles “Stormy” Mayo is senior scientist and director of the North Atlantic Right Whale Ecology Program at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown. He is also an accomplished boat-builder and sailor, and spent nearly 40 years building Istar, a 43-foot Murray Peterson Coaster, in his backyard in Provincetown. He’ll speak about the “agony and the ecstay” of his journey of building Istar, and of her maiden voyage in the Bahamas. Tickets: Members $10.00; non-members $15.00.
