An Introduction to the Art of Free-hand Wood Burning (Pyrography) with Ellen

This two hour introductory workshop will provide participants an introduction to the tools, materials, and techniques Ellen employs in creating her wood burned pieces. The session will include both demonstration and explanation as well as a hands-on opportunity to apply the skills you are learning, utilizing the new wood burning equipment and facilities at the Cultural Center. Ellen Adamson has over thirty five years of wood burning experience and her work has appeared in many regional exhibits. Ellen enjoys combining folk arts elements with traditional design techniques, to create her designs; which incorporate strong graphic elements and color.
