All About the Atmosphere with Seth Rainville

This intermediate to advance level class will explore new and inventive ways of making pots. With a focus on “scaling up” we will make large bottles, vases, covered jars and bowls. Working with this idea of scale, students can expect their skills on the wheel to improve dramatically. This class will also talk at length about cone 10, wood fire, and other atmospheric firing methods, and will also focus on glazing strategies. An opportunity to participate in a spring wood firing during this session will be available for an additional fee to be determined at a later date. This class is primarily for those who wish to work in high temperatures, but cone 5 access will still be available. Please, no beginners.
