Abstract Painting w/ Mellissa Morris

Price: Members $135/Non-Members $150
In this class students will develop a visual language, work in series, hone in on individual styles and personal point of views. Demonstrations and techniques will be given on how to manipulate the properties of paint via color mixing, using mixed medias, and composing dynamic imagery.
Beginners to advanced students welcome.
Depending on your particular style and or ideas about what you would like to paint and what materials you would like to play with -will determine how much and what type of supplies you’ll need. I’ve listed a small suggested list of materials HOWEVER a notebook is all you need for the first class.
Materials:
- A NOTEBOOK
- Paints (oil or Acrylic)
- Brushes
- Palette knives
- Pencils/pens/markers
- Drawing media
- Matte and/or Glazing mediums
- Oil pastels
- Collage materials
- Paper or canvas or wood panels
- Paper towels
- Trash bags
