To commemorate the crucial role that wireless telegraphy, “Mr. Marconi’s marvelous invention”, played in the rescue of the 712 survivors of the “unsinkable” R.M.S. Titanic disaster 110 years ago, Chatham Marconi Maritime Center presents as its annual Classic Movie Night “A Night To Remember”.  This 1958 classic B&W film presents the story from the first-hand perspective of several survivors. This “Vividly Effective Docudrama-Style Handling of the Legendary Sinking” was a BAFTA nominee and Golden Globe award-winner, and is being shown at the Chatham Orpheum Theater for the first time.
