Walking Tour: Flower Moon 

​Details: Learn about the history of Santuit before settlers arrived!  Join Marcus Hendricks, a  member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, as he leads a tour through the Santuit River Conservation Site. He will discuss the significance of the Flower Moon to Cotuit and Santuit’s Indigenous Peoples.  Discover how the fresh water springs in the river influenced life in the area and how the Indigenous People flowed and moved with the land and seasons. Explore the native habitat of many important flora and fauna like coastal birds and white cedar trees. This tour will last approximately one hour and is of moderate difficulty,. The trail  goes through slightly uneven wooded terrain. Please wear sturdy hiking boots or sneakers and bring a water bottle and jacket.
