Scott Prior: Illuminations features paintings, prints, and drawings by contemporary artist Scott Prior. Spanning five decades of Prior’s artistic career, the Cahoon Museum presents the artist’s work in genres of portraiture, still lifes, and landscape, including new work and scenes of Cape Cod. Realist painter, Scott Prior, creates virtuoso scenes of everyday settings and moments, amplified by light.
Prior’s realistic paintings are characterized by fine detail, striking colors, and compellingly arranged compositions. His virtuoso artworks capture the beauty of everyday settings and moments, with an emphasis on the illuminating effects of light.
