Penwork decoration has been used since the 18th century on furniture, frames, and boxes, often to create the illusion of inlaid ivory.  Students will create their design on a Bentwood Shaker Box created for this workshop by Eric Pintar.

A selection of designs are provided giving each student the ability to customize the design creating a unique finished piece.   Students will learn how to create and adapt a design, transfer it to the box, prep the surface, use drawing tools, and finishing.
