Carol Radford will lead this two hour session designed for dendrophiles (tree and forest lovers) who want to learn more about the Japanese art of shinrin-yoku. The workshop will include an introduction to forest bathing, listening to trees, an intentional walk, research on how forest bathing can improve our health, and a gratitude meditation.

  • Participants must be prepared to walk for 30-45 minutes on a path into Beebe Woods.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather. Closed toe shoes, long pants, bug spray, and a water bottle are recommended.
  • The workshop will begin in the tent on the patio next to Highfield Hall rain or shine. In case of inclement weather the walk in Beebe Woods will be included at the discretion of the workshop leader.
