This illustrated book celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of our country, bringing together events, narratives, and many little-known stories of the Revolution on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. In an engaging presentation and interactive discussion, Dr. Martin will explore the major events, notable local figures, and significant contributions of Cape Cod and the Islands to America’s fight for independence. His talk dispels the common belief that this region remained on the sidelines during the Revolution, uncovering the vital part our communities played in shaping the nation’s history.
