WHAT TO EXPECT: Create a bold personal masterpiece full of layers, textures, and patterns in this immersive course that celebrates the unapologetic joy of maximalism—where more is more and restraint is optional. Participants will explore techniques that embrace excess, experiment fearlessly, and push creative limits to craft a piece that is as wild and wonderful as their imagination, including:
The Art of Excess: Dive into the philosophy of maximalism, learning how layering, mixed media, and bold composition create visually rich pieces.
Guided Exploration: Work on a long-form project over six weeks, building upon your work with new techniques, textures, and materials.
Supportive Chaos: Connect with fellow maximalist artists who love “doing the most” and encourage each other’s bold visions.
All material are provided:
Assorted paints, collage materials, and mixed media supplies
Brushes, adhesives, and specialty tools for layering and texture
Decorative elements: fabric scraps, beads, papers, and found objects
EXTRAS: Grand Finale Exhibit to celebrate the culmination of your creative journey with Those Who Are Too Much—a one-night exhibit and party to showcase your work in all its glorious excess.

INSTRUCTOR: Cindy LaFlash is a dedicated mom of five, a Craft Queen, and founder of LaFlash of Creativity, a mobile creative studio powered by artistic inspiration providing accessible, joyful art experiences to people of all ages through workshops, pop-up events, and private gatherings.
