Colored Pencil Realism with Madison Shepherd

WHAT TO EXPECT: Learn how to create realistic drawings in colored pencil in the fun beginner class with artist Madison Shepherd. Students will learn how to create the illusion of depth, shape, and texture, and explore color theory, how to layer pencil, and how to bring an image to life. The small class format ensures that each student will get individual attention.


EXTRAS: All materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own supplies if they have them.


DON'T FORGET: The first 2 classes are in the Abbott Studio upstairs in the Education Wing. The last 2 classes are in the beautiful Saben Board Room in the Great Hall.

INSTRUCTOR: Madison Shepard is a colored pencil artist and circus performer. She primarily focuses her work on endangered species protection and portraiture. She has shown in galleries across New England. You can find her work at @earthyartworks on instagram.
