WHAT TO EXPECT: Beginners will learn the foundations of wheel throwing such as centering, lifting, and trimming while more advanced students will focus on scaling up and throwing with intention. The course also covers various glazing techniques and helping students achieve their project goals. Classes will begin with demonstrations followed by individualized attention to meet student’s specific needs.

EXTRAS: 12 additional Open Studio hours for students to practice their skills.

INSTRUCTOR: Patt Kelly has been working in clay for more than 25 years. As a graphic designer, Patt uses her design skills on her pottery whether it is manipulating her forms or carving them. She has been a studio assistant at the McGraw Ceramic Studio for the past three years and enjoys teaching others how much fun clay can be!
