Make your own Nantucket Lightship Basket cuff bracelet with artist and maker Helaine Buckley! Working with natural materials, you'll design your own gorgeous piece of Cape Cod signature jewelry. Students will hand-weave a bracelet in traditional Nantucket Lightship style with reed and cane and complete it with a pair of handmade hardwood caps. The price includes all materials and basic hardwood caps. Fancier caps available in class for a small upcharge.

Helaine Buckley

Helaine earned her BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design. After working for 10 years as a photography gallery director/curator of the Berenice Abbott Estate, she achieved her MAT in Art Education. She taught art in New Jersey for 16 years. In 2003, the Lab School of Washington and The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation selected her as one of the top 30 Art Teachers in the United States. Upon retiring, she moved to Cape Cod and started making Stained Glass. Her creative interests include fiber arts, basket weaving, mixed media printmaking as well as photography and stained glass. Her photography has been exhibited in New York, New Jersey, and China.
