Race Point Lighthouse is an intact Light Station nestled in the Provincetown dunes and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Keeper’s House has been restored to its 1950s era beauty and welcomes overnight guests from around the world.
The property is maintained by the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation. Lighthouse tower tours are offered the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month during the season from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The lighthouse is accessible by four wheel drive with the proper National Park Service permit, or a 2 mile walk from Race Point Beach in Provincetown, or the Hatches Harbor parking lot.
Please check http://www.racepointlighthouse.org for details, as tours are not given when the protected piping plovers are nesting. Gift Shop available. Proper footwear required to climb the tower, no flip-flops.
