Cape Cod has a unique opportunity for locals and visitors alike. There are over 75 museums, nature centers, cultural centers, art centers and historical societies on the Cape. All offer their unique historical perspective on Cape Cod as well as offer exhibits, events, family activities, lectures, nature trails, gardens, animals, classes and more.
With support of the Massachusetts Office of Travel (MOTT) and Tourism Recovery Grant and their My Local MA campaign, the Cape Cod Museum Trail can reach many more people to showcase what is so unique about the museums on Cape Cod.
How to Begin Exploring:
- It is easy! Start by exploring our directory of museums. There are many unique cultural institutions on the Cape to enjoy and there really is something for everyone.
- Then check out What’s Happening to find a list of events, exhibits, lectures and more happening across Cape Cod museums. Don’t forget to use the filters to allow you to search by topic, location or what interests you.
- Then, start planning your trip! Some museums offer online ticketing, group tours and more. Visit the museum website for more detail but get out and enjoy all they have to offer in-person.
Enjoy exploring the Trail and let us know on Facebook and Instagram which museums you visited this summer – #capecodmuseumtrail.
We want to thank MOTT for their support of the Cape Cod Museum Trail and of the Cape Cod museums. Learn more about MOTT and their My Local Campaign.
