Weaving Nantucket’s Past into Its Future: The Craft Continues

Each year the Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum (NLBM) curates a new exhibit examining some aspect of the lightship basket, recognized as an iconic symbol of the island worldwide.

Now formally affiliated with the NHA, the NLBM exhibit is on display at the Hadwen House for its second year and examines baskets from both the NLBM and NHA collection.

Showcasing over 100 Nantucket lightship baskets, explore artistry and innovation from land-based origins to nineteenth-century lightships into the twenty-first century.
