Annual Teddy Bear Picnic: A Take and Make Affair

We’re doing things a little differently this year.  Instead of a “make and take,” bear-building event at the Museums, you’ll be able to “take and make” a bear with your children or grandchildren at home. Each “Bear Kit” ($15) comes with a bear, stuffing, t-shirt, birth certificate, and other bear-y cool things. The kits will be available for pickup at the Conant House on the Museums’ campus from August 3 to August 6 between 10 am and 1 pm.  Join us online for a special virtual event on Friday, August 7, at 10 am. We’ll teach children (and grownups) how to build their bears, then we’ll read some bear-y special stories and sing “The Teddy Bear Rap.”  If you can’t tune in, we’ll have the recording available on our website shortly after the event. This is the Museums’ most popular children’s event, so reservations are required and quantities are limited.   Many thanks to The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod for sponsoring this event.
