The Atwood Museum and Chatham Historical Society is happy to announce a new Cemetery Walk and Tour for October 28, 2022. Join them for a stroll through Chatham’s beautiful and historic Union Cemetery, the resting place of some of Chatham’s most famous and influential residents. A guide will walk you through the cemetery, as actors educate you on the lives of four selected Chatham residents– Joseph C. Lincoln, Alice Stallknecht, Levi Atwood and Margery Atwood.

The tour will be a roughly 1-hour walk through Union Cemetery. Afterwards, you will return to the Atwood Museum where you can learn even more about these four (and many other) important figures in the town’s history while enjoying coffee, hot chocolate, and apple cider donuts.

Transportation will be provided between the Atwood Museum and Union Cemetery. A $25 fee covers the cemetery tour, transportation, and admission to the Atwood Museum. In the event of poor weather, a rain date is scheduled for November 4th.
