Training Wheel: A One-Day Intro to Throwing on the Wheel

Always wanted to try the pottery wheel? Don’t want to pay for a whole course in case you hate it? Then try Training Wheel with Patt Kelly, a one-day low-stakes totally fun workshop for absolute newbies! Try your hand at making some simple bowls with clear guided instruction. At the end of the workshop you can choose your favorite pot and we will fire and glaze it for you. Pots will be ready for pick up at the studio in 3-4 weeks! You might even love it and sign up for a whole class :)

Please bring an apron and an old dishtowel.

This workshop is for everyone 14 years and older (minors must be accompanied by an adult).

Patt Kelly has been working in clay for more than 25 years. As a graphic designer, Patt uses her design skills on her pottery whether it is manipulating her forms or carving them. She has been a studio assistant at the McGraw Ceramic Studio for the past three years and enjoys teaching others how much fun clay can be!
