Traditional Irish Music

This class will introduce students to the basics of playing traditional Irish music and they will learn some standard Irish tunes. The class will, if necessary, be graded into beginners and more advanced at the first class. The class is open to students with any instrument that can play in the key of “D” and “G”. This class is for adults and children of all ages. No previous knowledge of music is required.
The instructor, Sean Murphy, has been teaching Irish music and dance at venues on Cape Cod for many years. He leads one of the weekly “sessions” at O’Shea’s Olde Inne and plays in a local traditional Irish music group.
This class meets in the Photography & Digital Arts Studio on the lower level of the Education Wing.
