The hero’s journey is a common storytelling pattern used in fiction to structure a character’s arc and plot that has been used for centuries in literature and mythology. This 4-part class with writer Marion McNabb will enable the writer to use the framework tenets of THE HERO’S JOURNEY as a model for their narrative. Each week we will examine, breakdown, discuss, and discover ways to incorporate new work into this age-old guideline in order to create fresh and compelling stories.
Marion is a novelist and award-winning screenwriter who studied film at the Tisch School at NYU and graduated from Arizona State with a degree in Theater. She lived for many years in Los Angeles, but the siren call pulled her back to Cape Cod where she lives with her family looking for mermaids and working on her next novel.
