This class will introduce students to the basics of creating objects out of clay by hand. Students will learn how to make unique creations — vessels, creatures, tiles, and more — that can be functional, decorative, sculptural, and fun! Using slab, coil, and pinch techniques, each class will be a fresh exploration of texture, composition, and imagination.
Sessions are 2 weeks long from Monday to Thursday for a total of 24 hours of instruction, allowing students to build, glaze, and fire their work.
Dates: 8 classes, Mon-Thurs, 1pm-4pm
