This new permanent exhibit is larger, and chronologically covering 1609 through 1621.  Curated by Paula and Steven Peters of SmokeSygnals, the interactive and technological exhibit offers an accurate story of the Wampanoag Tribe’s history on Cape Cod, including the 1620 arrival of the Mayflower from England

Examples of new information in the exhibit are: Why Tisquantum (referred to as Squanto in most histories) knew English; how past disease and worries about enemies convinced the Wampanoag nation to accept the Pilgrims colonizing one of its villages; and why the governance spelled out in the groundbreaking Mayflower Compact signed in Provincetown Harbor was needed.
