The word “kinetic” relates to motion. Motion in space; objects in flux or changing. Kinetic energy is the energy an object has because of its motion. Artists have incorporated motion into art – to explore the possibilities of movement, introduce the notion of time, and bring a different kind of life and energy to their art. This new Cultural Center exhibition, on display from March 7-April 8, in all four main galleries, is about the art of motion. The opening reception has no admission fee, and all are welcome to join the celebration.

Visitors are also welcome to experience “Shifting Modes: The Delight and Mystery,” a collection of abstract work by Ann Guiliani, continuing in the Education Wing Creative Art Space Gallery until April 1.
