Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is the only furnished Sea Captain’s house regularly open to the public on Cape Cod.

Discover the life of a Sea Captain and his family during the Victorian era and the Golden Age of Sail, when Cape Cod’s skilled mariners sailed America’s famed Clipper Ships on trading voyages to India, China, and other faraway lands. Walk through rooms filled with period furnishings and antiques, porcelain, silks, paintings, and extensive maritime artifacts. Knowledgeable docents tell how the family lived and entertained and share stories of the perils these seafarers faced—from treacherous waters and violent storms to pirate attacks—and how families sometimes waited in vain for their return.

Summer Special Exhibition of Marine Artifacts by Ryan Cooper. The Museum is open four days a week—Thursday – Sunday THROUGH OCTOBER 13th. Docent-guided tours 1, 2, and 3PM (last tour). Admission $5.  FREE to children under 12 and all Yarmouth residents.
