In this interactive and process-oriented class we will focus on art and identity.

Using a multimedia approach, we will examine how artists express cultural, gender, and personal identities through their art, both in content and in technique. As we deepen our understanding of fundamental art elements through creative prompts, we will explore how to portray aspects of our own identities.  In class we will share our work, and discuss the process and the unexpected outcomes.  You do not need to be an artist to take this course—just a sense of curiosity and a willingness to take risks.
