Collage is a versatile art technique, and is powerful when combined with mixed-media. It involves endless choices and possibilities for art expression and exploration.
Raw material refers to the papers that are adhered onto the art surface (substrate), to create a whole. By texturing, glazing, and drawing, you will learn how to create dazzling papers that can be used in mixed media pieces as collaged passages. Through demonstrations and experimentation, you will learn many techniques such as glazing, gesso-printing, scribing, paste paper, paper-peeling, and pigment-scraping. We will learn basic collage techniques too, so you’ll be well on-your-way to understanding the construction of collage building.
No previous experience required.
