[Online] Artmaking Through the Eyes of Tony Vevers with Laura Shabott and Alana Barrett, Part 2 of a 3-Part Series

Paint, draw, collage from a model using the figurative lens of artist Tony Vevers. Lecture, active artmaking, critique, and a final all-classes critique.

Tony Vevers (1926 – 2008) was a central figure in the Provincetown art community who made lyrical expressionist paintings in the 1950’s and 60’s. By working from a model with guided exercises, you will learn how to make compelling compositions on a two-dimensional surface with subject matter (the model in a chosen environment) and color as your primary focus.
