Narrative Storytelling: A Collage Workshop will be an exciting and adventurous Saturday workshop to explore the narrative possibilities of collage. Working with artist and instructor Ric Haynes, students will explore collage as a medium for expressing a narrative journey; the goal is to materialize a story that one has always carried, as a reference to one’s true self. There will be some opening exercises as well as an introduction to materials.

The workshop will be done all in two dimensions. Outside of decorative papers and materials to be glued or taped down, Xerox copies of photos are a good material to work with; everything from photographs to altered images like postcards and magazine cutouts are sources for collage. This is a fun, exploratory class and and all skill levels are welcomed. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a lunch or snack.

*Note: There is a $30 materials fee for this class, payable to the instructor on the first day.
